How to Protect Yourself From The Sun in This hot summer

We all know that the ozone layer is getting thinner and thinner year after year from all the pollution that the world dumps into the environment. The ozone layer is the shield between the earth and the sun. Without the ozone layer, we would all burn and everything on earth would turn into dry charcoal. We as humans have the responsibility to protect this mother earth, not only for ourselves, but also for our children and their children. That's why it's significant to care about the environment and pollution. The summer is here and any exposure to the sun would increase our chances of getting sunburn which can lead to pain, wrinkles and eventually skin cancer. So, what can we do? Lock ourselves inside all summer? No one can do that. We have to face the sun but we have to be cautioned.

Things You'll Need:
umbrella
sunblock/sunscreen lotion
long sleeve/bright colored clothing
water/fluid
hat/cap

Step 1

Try not to go out when the sun is at its hottest. That would be around 12pm in afternoon. The elderly and small children should take this advice more because they can easily get sunstroke or heatstroke.

Step 2

If you have to go out, make sure your head is protected. Wear a hat or cap and sunglasses. Also, wear long attire, like a light long sleeve shirt and long pants. Make sure they are light colored so to reflect the sun's ultraviolet(UV) rays.

Step 3

Stay in the shade or under umbrella. You can either hold an umbrella while you are walking or mount a big umbrella to provide some shade.

Step 4

Apply sunscreen or sunblock lotion to the exposed areas of the body. Make sure the SPF (sun protection factor)is high and apply a thick layer.

Step 5

Make sure you drink allot of fluids especially water. Water is the best hydrator and works with everybody's diet. Also, water can be used to cool down the body. Sprinkle some water on your body once in while outside in the hot sun.

HAPPY HOLI - The Festival Of Colours

The exuberant colours of Holi exude the vitality of spring, the vibrancy of life and a celebration of the richness of harvest. The festival arrives when the placid winter fades away and the effervescence of spring adds fresh colours in nature. With nature blooming in all its hues, the time is perfect to colour the atmosphere with the fun filled colours of Holi.
This is the time when everyone drowns in the mirthful revelry of the festival of colours. While it stands for “party time” for the city slickers, celebrating the onset of springtime is the real essence of the festival of colours. Soaked in the joyful spirit, the faces go beyond recognition with sprayed colours, clothes looking like drenched unacceptable rags, hair in disarray – but the spirit soaked in the joyful essence of the festival with laughing eyes, gyrations to music and utter glee on the faces. This is Holi.

So it is that time of the year again when gulal and gujiya, pichkari and pakora vie for our attention even as many among us try to match steps with each other to the beats of “Rang barse.”

HAPPY HOLI to all
